Windshield wiper randomly turns on and off

Yeah, it would be a good idea to get a battery post remover to take the wiper arms off the studs. Here is the link to the one I got that works out well.
Before you pull the wiper arms, note their position on the windshield with painters tape. You will want to make sure you put them back in the same spot.
Once you replace the motor, be sure to put the arm bracket back on straight. You should get a good idea of what it looks like by looking at how it is positioned with the old motor. Take a picture if you need to. If the bracket doesn't form a straight line, it could lead to some really weird wiper movement when the motor is active. You will need to remove the bracket to pull the motor off and replace it. There will be some prying to be done, but that is easily completed with a flathead screwdriver and some colorful language. May also help to get a chilton Manual.

I have the same issue on my 12' gt500, windshield wiper and fluid just sprays for no reason, I was wondering if you had any luck with fixing yours? Now it just dont work unless I turn it on to the last mode all of the other modes dont work and when i press it for the fluid, nothing happens. Ill take any information on what to check out first before i end up buying a new motor for it. I know they have to move my steering wheel area for them to install my headers.
did you ever get a fix for this? The exact same thing happened to me. I replaced my wiper motor and it worked for a little bit then right back to exactly this.
