help!!!! seedometer jumps!!!!

my seedometer jumps it had a 85 m.p.h. seedometer now it has a140 if that has sumthing 2 do with it i think its the cabel what do u think

Sounds like it has a bad cluster or the cable is really the only thing that can cause it,but since it did'nt do it with the 85 m.p.h i would say the speedo cluster is the cause.
