URGENT!!! help someone!!
On my 02 GT 4.6 I am doing a header/hpipe/catback install. It's almost all done, and I put my starter/solenoid back on. I wanna plug my battery in and start 'er up to check for leaks because I lower the car down, since if there are any it'll be easier from up above.
My steering is still not on, nor are my calipers, rotors, etc..
However, upon rehooking up the battery, my starter motor spins........... why and how do I fix this??[:@] any help = GREATLY appreciated folks!

like a spark jumping from one side to the other.... Just when it starts, put the key in, push it foward (let it grind) then quickly turn the car off, it should turn the car off and solve the problem.

RE: URGENT!!! help someone!!
i took one wire off, i don't think i can mix up one wire
i think i figured out waht's wrong..
there's a fork inside the starter, and i have to fit the solenoid's "trigger" through said fork.. which is, well, pretty impossible. i only found this out through an incredible array of lights and mirrors to see inside where the solenoid fits into the starter, and only figured out the solenoid must not be pushed in whatsoever so that the starter motor doesn't turn (by putting the battery on with the solenoid simply hanging)
if anyone knows of any technique as to how to fit the solenoid into the starter, well, let's hear it!!!!
