Default trunk release button doesn't work

my trunk release button stoped working today, I replaced the fuse and still doesn't work any ideas?
I just bought my car about a month ago so don't know much about it, does it have a safe release inside the trunk? f@@@ing keys don't work

Did it ever work?Did the keys ever work?About the safe release in the trunk,I don't know,my 04 does,but a 97?When you try the trunk button can you hear the solenoid trying to operate?If not the wires might have worked loose.If so the trunk might have been jammed shut somehow.(Or sealed.The guy you bought the car from wasn't called Knuckles or anything was he???Could be a body back there!!!!!!)

it did work fine so no dead body back there just my sub box, and no I don't hear nothing maybe a wire got loose or something. I can't open the trunk with the keys god damn copies

When U replaced the fuse, whas the original fuse blown?

If it was then something's shorted or fried, and still is. Did the new fuse not blow?

well i have a 1990 and my hatch release doesn't work unless i have the car on, if it isn't then it doesn't work

I got it fixed, problem was an unplugged wire. The sub box is so close to the trunk door that when I closed the door it unplugged it, Thank god the back seats fold down from inside rather then inside the trunk like my grand am.
