Point me in the right direction please.
I'm new to this forum. Currently I don't own a Mustang but registered on here to try and figure out what years are best for modifying.
What I'm most interested in is COMPLETELY tearing apart an engine and building it from scratch. Bigger pistons, custom rods, ported heads, etc. I've done it on my BMW before but tuning BMWs is really expensive and I like 'tinkering' with cars. I think a Mustang fits my wants... :-/
Anyway, where would I post if I'm looking for information about building a complete engine? I know my way around engines, I'm asking where do I post to find what pistons to use, what manufacturers are good, etc.
Thanks,
Cody

yeah it's all about coin
typically people stroke a 302 to 347 and can make about 400 hp on it
with a power adder you'll see 500
but another option if you have the cash is start with a 351 and stroke it to 408
you'll see big power there
and if you have really phat pockets just go big block, a 460 will fit in a foxbody with little work
with that being said i recommend a fox ('79-'93) and i prefer notchbacks myself..... a little lighter and a little tighter
