Default Bottoming out need help

Goodmorning all...my 1993 5.0L is bottoming out when I accelerate hard from a stand still or whenever I go over large bumps or have passengers in the car. I had the car up on the hoist and you can clearly see where the driveshaft has been rubbing on the underside of the body. I put new shocks and struts thinking that this would eleviate the problem but it still persists and Im wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what it may be causing it. My only other thought is that my coil springs need replacing but dont want to shell out more dough if thats not the issue, your thoughts are greatly appreciated, cheers...Darryl

shocks and struts wont help fix your ride height. my money is on the coil springs being bagged out.

finally got around to replacing the rear springs with Moog cargo coils and problem seems worse now! Do I need to go with a heavier duty spring and which would you recommend? I think the Moogs are rated at 162lbs if Im not mistaken. This is driving me nuts! Your help is greatly appreciated...Darryl

....you could always get factory ones, which may be cheaper than aftermarket and its a guarentee that your bottoming out should not happen, and if it fixes your problem, cut a coil or so off to get it back down.

just an option.
