Cams for an 02 GT
ORIGINAL: Fat Nick
So if the company that makes them tells them you need something you're going to overlook it?
Yes, they need springs because like said above, stg.2's are meant to go to 6500 which isn't smart on stock springs.
So yes, get the springs, or you'll regret it later.
Computer upgrade means chip and dynotuned. Stg.1 requires no spring and no tune. Although a tune will get you a few more ponies. My advice is that with the auto if it's a daily driver get the stg.1's. The stg 2's only make more power than the 1's at 6000-6500. Which on an auto would go to high and not take full capability of the powerband.

I know that
Im asking "If valve springs werent purchased, would this do any harm? " with stage 2 cams.

For Stage 2, It requires 2400+ stall, and 3.55+ gears. Intake, Exhaust, Computer Upgrade, and Spring Recommended.
..and thank you for the explaination between stg1 & stg2 performance wise.
