I was recently told that I mgiht be able to switch the dash colors on my 07 gt. So I looked around, and it turns out that I think I am missing the message center required to do so. Is there anyway else to change the lights? could a trip to the local ford dealer change them?

 

I'm pretty sure you're talking about Mycolor. The Mycolor dash has 6 gauges instead of 4, a message center and there's three buttons to adjust the color to the left of the power outlet. Some people have swapped out their base cluster (gauges) for a Mycolor one. I think it costs around $300 and you'd have to have the mileage adjusted

You could probably switch out the LED's throughout the car but that's very tedious and time consuming

I bought my guages off ebay... I have a switch that lets me have either a blue or green instrument guage background. I think it cost like a hundred bucks..
