Default Driver side window

I've searched and know this has been answered more than one time here but I just cannot find any threads.

My driver window auto thing when opening and closing door no longer works. I can auto down the wndow, but not auto up. When door closes, it will not seal up. I must manually do it.

Any ideas or point me to a thread on this?

Mine just started doing this on the passenger side the other day. I too, know this has been brought up numerous times in the past, but cannot find it. So, any ideas fellas?

check the fuse or circuit braker, maybe lose connection at the switch? check the window regulators

siiince were on the topic of windows( dont mean to hijack you thread), my 89 lx's windows make an ubnoxious loud nails on chalkboard sound when i roll them up and yes they are power windows, more driver side than passenger so its right in my ear, any one know whats up?

If you can get it all the way up (sealed) manually, do it. Then (with the power on) hold the switch in the window up position for 3-4 sec. It should re-calibrate it. "If" thats the issue. Hopefully it is.
