Starting issue...Please help!!!
To anyone who can help me...
I have a 2000 v6 mustang that will crank but will not start. Here is what I have tried;
* No security system issues found - Car cranks, no start.
* Installed new coil pack - left battery terminals off for two hours to reset computer.
* Check fuel cut off switch - seems to be fine.
* No fuses out, all seem to have power through them.
The mustang cranks strong. It does not start. I know that it is usually fuel or spark related however I have tried the basics without success. Thank you for any suggestions! have an awesome day!

RE: Starting issue...Please help!!!
The fuel filter has not been changed... but this issue went from "car working just fine" to :car does not start at all" over night....literally. (We pulled into the driveway, parked the car... next morning the car did not start.) I plan to replace the filter but can a dirty fuel filter do this over night?
PS- Where is the filter located and is it hard to replace? I am very mechanically inclined but I do not have a book on my girlfriends Mustang and I just want to know what to expect. I have changed many fuel filters in my life but they were in a different spot on every car/truck I owned. Thanks a bunch!

RE: Starting issue...Please help!!!
hey, john, is the car even spitting? like its trying to kick over, but theres not enough fuel? if its not kicking over, sounds like there isnt any fuel getting to the cylinders. maybe pop out a spark plug and look for a spark. if theres a spark, its fuel. im not an expert on EFI, but thats what it sounds like. cant tell u any more, but this might be a start.
