The 05 mustangs come with those installed alarms. Are these worth anything in terms of protection or should I get one installed.

 

Alarms are pointless now...Nobody even looks anymore when they go off so I wouldnt waste your money

 

alarms are not worth anything in terms of protection, they are only worth insurance. when is the last time you heard an alarm and cared? you already have a chip in your key, so at least you have something. The only thing that really works is lojack.

 

a lot of insurence companys now will charge you less if you have an alarm though....
