Angry 68 Horn Wiring

Here's a good one for ya........ Sometimes my horns don't work. When this happens I smack the dash right beside the ignition switch or reach around and grab the ignition switch on the back and turn it slightly and this sometimes makes them start working again. I checked wiring diagrams and don't see any relation to the ignition switch and the horn wiring at all. I checked all wiring for loose or disconnected wiring and found none. If I touch a hot wire from the battery positive to each horn, they work, so I know the horn grounds are OK. Is this vehicle possessed, or am I missing something????

Found the problem. There's a large wire that goes into the center of the ignition switch (I assume it's a power lead). Anyway it was very worn and almost gone. I rewired it and everything works fine now. No better way to learn your vehicle!!
