Default rear end help 2003 gt

hi i have a 2003 gt 5 speed with 66k on it pretty much stock it has dual flowmasters and cold air intake. what i want to know is what rear end gearing do i get for my car this car is not my primary car but i would like to be able to drive several hundred miles once in awhile once a year. how hard is it to take the rear end out and re install for the 03gt 5 speed tranny? lets say from a 1 to a 10 scale. thanks guys

Put some 3.73 gears in it. If your near Fullerton Ca I can install the gears and whatever else you want to do.

If you plan on doing a bit of highway driving stick with 3.73 gears. 4.10s are nice but whine in high gears which gets annoying. I recommend you replace your bearings when you do this since you are over 60k in miles.

As far as difficulty, if you are mechanically inclined you can do it. I had help with a buddy who has a shop for it was easier to do on a lift. Here is an install guide to give you an idea of what's involved:

nasty 03gt thanks. i don't do much highway driving i take the mustang out a couple times a week never to far. thanks for the offer quick99 im in clovis next to fresno but that kind of offer it might be worth the drive ..lol

wow after reading that i think it would be in my best interest is to pay to have that done look's a little to much for me any ideas what that would cost?? any ideas are always appreciated
