Default A/C vent problem

I'm having a problem with my A/C only blowing out of the defroster vents and just above my feet. No matter what position I set the control to, this is always where the air blows. I still have control of selecting A/C, heat, or vent, and also blower speed, just not where the air blows.

Now, from what I have been able to find so far, I expect to be told that maybe it's a vacuum problem or some kind of valve. Which is great, but I have no knowledge about the vacuum system. I'd be grateful if someone could point me to where I could maybe get a schematic, diagram, troubleshooting guide, etc. for this. Best I remember, taking the dash apart is no walk in the park, so I'd like to avoid learning the old-fashioned way as much as possible. I have a Haynes manual with some electrical diagrams, but I don't see a vacuum diagram.

This vehicle is a '93 5.0 LX, but I suspect any old Fox body from '87 to '93 would be similar.

Thanks.

Default RE: A/C vent problem

Well, I guess I got lucky. Shortly after removing the control panel and following the lines back a little bit (white goes to the flap that controls the max A/C recirculation flap), I found a broken line on in the engine compartment. So now the vent controls work and I have functional A/C. Thanks for the help.

On now to try and get it to blow a little colder...
