Question Steering Lubricant and Level

Checked my 68's manual steering box and it looks like its full of some type of graphite type looking grease. What's the proper type lubricant and what's the full level?

I've used a mixture of wheel bearing grease and 90w gear oil in my MOPAR steering boxes. I imagine a 68 Ford would be similar.

Whatever you chose. I doubt it's critical you use the "proper" lubricant. It's just a worm gear in a sealed box.
