Guess what, pissed off cracked intake fans? Ford has had to settle its many lawsuits (thank you concerned Ford drivers) on that rotten plastic intake design found on so many Ford products. Something as common as the cracking of the intake has got to be considered a major flaw that should have many years ago been recalled by Ford......that is IN TOTAL, not just piece meal as in its past poor effort!

The terms of the settlement include:

• Ford will reimburse customers with receipts for the intake repair.
• Ford will pay $735.00 to those without receipts, provided that they can verify with a dealership that a repair was made.
• Ford will extend the warranty coverage for customers whose intakes have not failed.

not to disagree but, I contacted my Ford dealership about the recall and they said that there was no such thing on my car. Just a emergency brake switch recall. Is this real recent because they checked everything through my VIN number.

 

yeah if you go onto this site and type in your vin it will tell you there are no recalls on your car, but as you can tell there is.. im not sure but i dont think they are putting this out as a recall.. just sending out letters to who this pertains too..

Yea my '00 Mustang GT isn't on that list. Ghey. I guess we'll wait to see what happens in October.
