I'm thinking about installing a trailer hitch on my 2002 convertible. Is there a place accessible under the trunk where I can connect the wires for the lights? Do I have to connect them inside the trunk? What's the best way to do this?

 

Go to http://www.etrailer.com. They should have plug and ply harnesses plus the hitch. I have had on on a '00 GT Vert.

 

I stuck a "Hidden Hitch" brand onto my '02 vert and really like how almost the whole hitch is nicely hiding behind the bumper plastic except for the receiver part. Nice clean install. Install it yourself & save some $$'s
The wiring harness I got also installs quickly "inside the trunk" and behind the taillight cover panel. You just pop open the connector harnesses & sandwich in the hitch harness. No wire cutting/tying/soldering/taping of any kind. You can do the whole install in about 1-2 hours.
