Default Busted ball joint

I had my drive side ball joint separate and come out of the boot so I took the control arm off and pressed out the old ball joint and put a new one in. After that I went to remove the actual ball off of the spindle since I had to let it soak in some rust breaker but i good not get the nut off no matter the size of the breaker bar. So I cut the nut off and figured the ball would come out but it didn't move. I beat it with many different size hammers and it doesn't seem to budge. Are the actual ***** pressed into the spindle , are they screwed in, or is it the 9 years of Chicago weather that is just binding it?

All ball joints are pressed in from factory. You really gota beat on it until it comes out. Now I actually recommend you to take the new ball joint and have it pressed in at the shop. You can do it yourself with like a 30 MM socket and a nice hammer to get it back in there. I did it on mine just be careful

yea i already got the ball joint piece out of the control and had a new one pressed in. My problem is that when it broke the actual ball part of the joint is still stuck on the spindle and i can not beat it out for the life of me. Just wondering if there were any tricks to getting the piece out or just beat it into submission
