mustang tuning
is there a programmable chip for late 80's mustangs?
by programmable i mean a chip that is essentially blank that plugs to your car then in to a laptop, then you tune from th e computer and it saves the tune on the chip. i know for DSM's its called DSM link. is there anyone who cann give me any good foxbody tuning advice? someone told me that you cant custom tune them for a some reason, is this true? any insight would be appreciated thanks

Do not know why you would want to as the eec-4 is self adjusting, just throw parts on and it learns.I found by advancing your timing from 14 to 10btdc it really wakes everything up.Main mistake I see is putting bigger injectors on when you do not have the cam or heads to support them. The 19lb injectors are good to 300hp.Lil Roush is right ,without a dyno you are only guessing.
well i know i have a cam, not sure about heads. my car has a lot ofparts including a paxton supercharger. the computer will just learn and adjust its self to that? i just feel like i need some sort of tuning, because the car starts like i has a carburetor when its cooled down and its below 50F
