Default Question about refinishing chrome wheels

Today I bought my '00 GT and it has on it a set of 18" Chrome cobra wheels, I like them a lot. The tires are 275/35/18's so I'm guessing that's a 10" wide rim, and they're like that all the way around the car. First of all, those are 10" rims right?

Also, there is a chunk of the lip about 2" long on the driver's side front rim missing. It didn't bend the wheel, it still spins true on the balancer, but it needs to be fixed. I'm going to get that done through a rim repair center.

But, they don't do chrome work I don't believe. Just paint and simulated machine lathing. The rims aren't in horrible shape, but there is some pitting on the inside area of the rim on the flat surface like where sticky weights would be put. That and there is some oxidation of the chrome in the lug nut holes. Is this something that can be repaired or would I have to have the whole rim re-chromed? If anyone wants a better idea of what I'm talking about I can take a picture if anyone wants. The rims right now are 10' rims, I want them to be 5" rims

gotta be re chromed... Chroming is a a process where the dip the whole thing in a series of chemical baths, so you cant just do touchups.
