Newer engines (like yours) can retune itself to work safely with whatever octane you put it in. You engine will not tune itself to accept the performance benefits of the higher octane, but it is safe to put a higher octane in at any point before the tune.

Of course... It is always better to have it tuned.

Just be careful that any additives you use are not leaded.

DreamerGT has some great suggestions for Injector cleaner on the last page. I also really like the Lucas stuff as well.

thanks guys, ive actually driven more than i thought i would so i am probably just going to wait till im pretty low and fill up with 91 or 93

You know having octane that's "too low" isn't really harmful unless you're revving the snot out of the engine. Loping along in traffic U can run regular pump grade no problem.

Correct. We ran 89 octane on a 800+RWHP GT500 that normally takes C16 because we absolutely had to one time. It's fine, as long as you don't operate the car under heavy load.

Interesting I did not leaded gas bad for o2 sensors always heard it was actually good the engine and good for cars without cats
