Default Fox Turbo kit for 65'

I was wondering how easy it would be to adapt a fox body turbo kit for a 5.0 to a carburated 5.0 block that would go in a 65 mustang. Does anyone know if this would be possible or if anyone has ever done anything like that before?

anything is possible if you have the means to stuff to fab up the parts...But you would have to make some kind of hat for the carb so you could force all the air in the top of the carb.Im sure it can be done cause ther is alot of room under the hood on that car

You have a few options...rarely has anyone had success turbocharging carbureted cars as carbs start to not hold pressure (usually) past 1 bar (+/- 14.2psi). The hardest running car's w/both forced induction and carbs use draw-through systems where the carb is placed on the intake, say of a turbo (where the air filter goes), and fuel + air are sucked into the turbo together then blown into the intake...rare, hard to tune, and you have to make your own manfold. EFI has made turbos work well and you could retrofit a 5.0EFI upper/lower intake manifold complete w/t-body, mass-air sensor, ECU etc and your car will be converted to EFI and then turbocharge it, parts that are dime-a-dozen @ the junkyards. This swap is popular on early mustangs even w/289s and they run good, then it starts right up, idles, and your unlimited as far as potential.
