Default heater core

hi i have a 1995 mustang conv 3.8L.I think my heater core is bad i am leaking antifreeze i am loosing a littlenot alot my heat blows out cold air. my friend thinks it isthe heater core. it takes a long time to get the heat to work. how hard is it to change a heater core in a 1995. do i have to take the whole dash out?

when you install in put in a radiator fiter it goes in to top hose

I have a 95 GTS. You have to pull the dash.

I had replaced the radiator earlier since it was leaking.

I later developed a small leak also, thought it was the heater core, it wasn't.

Make sure the bypass hoses and the cheap fittings that go into the engine are OK before you pull the dash.

You dont have to pullthe dash all the way out of the car. just drop the steering colum and then the dash will lay down on it and you can get right into the heater core. it is a pain and if you can afford it take it and have it done.
