302HO Bronco street project
Heres a good one for all 5.0 lovers! I have a 90 Bronco Eddie Bauer AOD with a 93 Stang GT motor
The motor has a E303cam & 3.55 gears. I lurch at idle at stop lights, and lack low end power. The cam has .498 lift, 282 dur. I'm using the stock Bronco intakes and ECU. I think I need a high stall converter to correct the idle in drive, and give me a quicker launch. This is a street Bronco with 265/75r15s. No lift or huge mud tires. The 3 ton beast really moves when the cam's power band kicks in.
Am I right about the converter? Is 2300-2500 stall correct?
Is there much difference between mfgs-I have found converters from $110 to over $600?
Can I use any 5.0 AOD converter or does it have to be truck-specific?
Sorry this isn't a Mustang issue, but I'll take all the help I can get!

RE: 302HO Bronco street project
I doubt a converter is going to help your problem??Why would you want a stall in a bronco??Its not like your going to be racing it?When it comes to stalls you get what you pay for and a good one is expensive
