Question about gears

RE: Question about gears
Personally I would never let a dealership service dept. touch my car, unless it was for warrenty work, the techs generally are not accustomed to doing performance type work (I know there are exceptions, so if a tech sees this don't take it personal). Find a shop that is used to doing performance mods on cars and Stangs in particular, ask around some local shows or cruise nights, there is bound to be a shop that is reasonably close to you. As for cost it can vary but I would plan on spending at least $250. Don't forget to have your speedometer re callibrated after the swap.

RE: Question about gears
yea i agree w/what he said...that is what i did went to a local person and got them to do it. match sure you get all the hardware needed i think it is around $50. whatever you do..dont try to do it yourself or go to Ford...if they do it right it will cost you an arm and a leg...cost range from 250-350. mine was like 350 cause i didn't have hardware and this guy was the best around my region. ? for the guy that replied before me: why do you have to re cal ur speedometer? i know you go alot faster. my top speed was like 130 and now i hit 145 and it wasn't letting up but the road was coming to an end. do you have to cause i would go past the register?
