Flow charts for Heads, Mustang and F150 NEED SPECS!
Heya guys;
Well for my new F150 I would like to get alot more power out of her. I would like to know what the flow charts are for a few heads that I have in mind. Now I know that 4V heads have less velocity at lower engine speeds but being that I have a greater displacment then a 4.6L I should make up for alot.
How much do ??? Flow?
*2005 F150 Triton 5.4L heads
*2003/04 Cobra 4.6L heads
*1996-98 Cobra 4.6L
Now I heard that the 96-98 Cobra heads flow better, is this true? Also what other Pro's and cons do they have? Also what pro's and cons do all of these heads have? Also how strong and how well can each hold up to boost, porting and boost with ported heads? If there are better flowing 4V heads out there please tell me.
I am planning on Supercharging this engine and want the best flowing heads. Right now I am leaning to the 03/04 Cobra heads and getting a KB super for them, though I am not really sure how much boost my engine can take with 91 octane and stock internals, I believe compression is 9.8:1 which is really high for boosted applications but Roush and KB make kits for the 5.4L that boost it 50% powerwise.
This truck is hella fun right now as it is, I can wait to get the mods and exhaust done!
Any other related advice for the truck and getting more power out of it is greatly appriciated!

RE: Flow charts for Heads, Mustang and F150 NEED SPECS!
KB wants $3750 for the 6psi kit with the Boost-A-Pump and mono chip for my 05' F150
KB wants $3799 for the 9-24psi Kit with Boost-A-Pump and switch chip
Roush wants $5,199 for their 6psi kit.
There is a big difference with pricing.
Which do you guys think is better for this engine to make the most reliable power? Roush is CARB legal is KB?

Remember that fastest modulars site? They probably know.
KB 9-24psi for $3799 sounds good. What's boost-a-pump? Is it to increase the fuel flow? You can skip on the chip, and get the whole ECU www.megasquirt.info

Ya, KB has a 2.4L super for $300 more that is 15-34psi (I think 34psi) but 15 seems like it would be too much for my stock engine to take, ESPECIALLY with 9.8:1 compression, so I think that the 2.2L super will work wonders for me without killing my truck.
