I have a 1989 mustang lx 5.0. The other day it felt like I was having some clutch issues so I looked under the car and found that the cable coming out of the left side of the transmission had been resting on the h-pipe and a hole had burned into it. I thought it was the clutch cable, but I was mistaken. If some one can tell me what this is I would appreciate it.

 

is it the cable going into the bellhousing..???
