Default Odd Noise

I just bought an '06 Premium w/Pony yesterday. At about 75 miles I began hearing a sound that reminded me of a playing card in a bike spoke (any of you old enough to remember that?). My first assumption was that I had run over something like a plastic bag, caught it in the undercarriage, and it was flapping in the wind, seeing as how the sound slows down as I slow (it will also occasionally quit at low speeds). Not it. Next thought was that it was the thin plastic "dealer info plate" on the front of the car flapping. Not it. I can't really localize the sound by myself, but it SEEMS to be coming from the drivers-side front. Of course, today being Sunday, I can't contact the dealership.
Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Ford, for the 06 models anyway, realised that exhaust was one of the first things to be replaced.Their idea is to remove the temptation and now all GT's come with a high strength low abrasion plastic card that fits onto the front suspension. These cards hit the spokes of the front wheels and make the sound you hear. Now you won't have to buy an exhaust, what a world we live in huh.All jokes aside, take it back to the dealer and they have a thing called "chassis ears" they can find out what the sound is quickly with one test drive.Again, sorry for the tall tale.

SharpShooter...nothing stuck anywhere that I can locate. Another thing is, the noise doesn't start until I get to about 40 mph, but will continue and slow down until I'm almost at a dead stop. Once it has started, it may cut out at low speeds and then start up again.

Chopper...It's not a GT, so how do the plastic cards apply to me?? Seriously, it IS going back for a service call, I was just hoping somebody could tell me "Yeah, that happened to me, not a big deal," instead of wondering, "hmmm...when's the wheel gonna fly off."

Thank both of you for your replies.
