Here is kind of an odd question.

One of the wires with popped off of my rear window defogger. Not just the wire but the little piece that is actually affixed to the window came off. It is still attached to the wire.

So I was thinking about just putting a dot of super glue and sticking it back on the window but one concern - will that be ok? I dont want to cause a fire by igniting the glue with the heat from the defroster and up with my convertible top in flames!

Is this a safe fix or is there another way I should go about it? Thanks.

 

I used a kit from frostfighter.com to replace it. Superglue won't hold with the heat. The Frostfighter kit worked better than the dealership fix did.
