Ebay bulb replacements a good idea?
It's come to the point where I have more visibility aiming a flashlight out my window then with my headlights. I've been shopping around for 9007 bulb replacements and there are a few on Ebay that have pretty high lumen outputs and are pretty cheap to boot. However, there are a few things that worry me like the fact that they're anonymous products with Chinese characters all over the box and secondly their color temperatures are pretty high for stock halogen replacements. I was wondering if it'd be a bad idea to go this cheaper route as opposed to ordering Sylvania Ultra Lights from AM or Autozone. Has anyone personally tested one of these products? Any risk of shorts or plastic melting from using a 6500-7000K bulb in a halogen housing?

You're right, I probably should have posted a link.

These are 5900k which is just the pure white I'm looking for, without having to shell out a ton for HID conversion

TRAIL BOSS, thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't noticed your post the other night. It's nice to finally find a bulb someone else has had experience with, otherwise I'm just stabbin' in the dark
95 BLOWN GT, other than the seals wearing off and letting in a little condensation now and then the housing itself looks to be fine. It is a nice and shiny chrome, not yellowed out. But that's on my to-do list anyways along with resealing them
Thanks for the replies
