I'm thinking I can, but I can't remember what I would use. It's on a 98 ranger 8.8 with 3.73 gears if that makes any difference. I don't really want to re-set the gears cause I've tried 3 times and don't get more than 20k miles before they start whining bad.

Spider gears are in a trac-lok and an open diff. You can not swap a set of trac-lok spiders into an open diff carrier or swap 31 spline spiders into a 28 spline carrier.
