Exclamation 06 v6 ECL blinking

OK here is the deal, I have 06 v6 with less than 50k miles on it.

the other week i had to change the thermostat. the car has been running great. Today, the ECL started to blink the car was running rough and made it home.

As I understand the ECL blinking means that the car is misfiring. before I tow it the dealership I want to check with you guys to see what it all could be.

I've check the oil it looks good, but may need a change soon.

I did take the TB off to get to the back bolt off the thermostat housing. when I change the thermostat i did make a pooping noise of a min or two.

The light coming on is your ecm telling you that something is wrong, not necessarily a misfire. It can be checked for codes for free at Autozone. Check where you last worked on the car for something coming loose.

The blinking CEL tends to indicate some kind of misfire. But to know for sure you need to get the codes read. Most auto parts stores will read them for free, call ahead of course. Make sure they give you the actual code numbers, not just the explanation of what they mean. That way you can search for solutions etc on this forum and google. Good luck...
