i have a 89 gt ho convertible, and when i turn the key on the fuel psi is only 5lbs, and when i run a direct hot wire to the pump it puts out around 35, and the book says thats enough to run it, what could it be? besides the relay, inertia switch, fpsi regulator, fuel filter....?

 

your getting more current to the pump with a straight wire that's why for the higher pressure....where are you taking the f/p @?......you'll need a new pump if the relay isn't bad
