Default Noises?

I have two noises that I am wondering what the problem is:

1st - Whether I am in motion or standing still when I turn the stearing wheel to the right side, for about the first two inches of turning it makes a creeking noise, like an old door opening.

2nd - Whenever I push on the brakes and cause the weight of the car to shift forward there is a popping noise. I don't think it is the brakes, just the movement of the cars weight going forward.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Default Noises?

I'd look at ball joints, springs, shocks & struts...then steering box bolts.
