Just bought a car that has a c4 trans with manual valve body and 2500 stall, when i shift gears its almost like it hits a false nuetral inbetween gears, like if i shift it without letting off, it will rev up in between shifts.... what can cause this? Im really hoping its something simple that i can take care of...

 

sounds like your tranny is toast ..., that's called slipping!! You better Hope im wrong!!

 

check the tranny fluid for any metal shaving's!

 

Check the shifter linkage.
It must be dead on or a manual valve body will do this.
also check/adjust bands.....
