2001 Mustang Convertible V6?
Hi
I'm new to Mustang Forums but it seemed like a good place to ask about a Mustang i'm considering buying. I found a guy who's willing to sell me a 2001 V6 convert. for approx. $4000. He claims it has a new flow master muffler, brake pads, rotors, bull joins, tires, and a recently repaired A/C system. The car is in great shape, with 97k miles, and when I drove it it seemed to run very well. Iv'e done all the research I can but I wanted an experts opinion (and this seemed like the place to go!) on whether that's a good deal, and if that car still has a lot of life on it. I wouldn't want to spend more than $500 a year on repairs, so I'd really like your opinion on whether this car could become a money pit.
Thanks
Ben

Any car can be a money pit. Expect some routine maintenance items such as fluids, tune up parts and filters to be needing replacement for peace of mind once you own the car. For the most part, these cars are not money pits. Sounds like the po took fair care of it. Look it over good and verify the parts he says he replaced. Have fun driving it. Many have over 150,000 miles on them with good luck.
