Higher RPM after installed air intake
#2
disconnect battery, touch the positive and negative cables together after they are off battery, to release whatever electrical current that is left behind. ( do not touch them together while one cable is still connected to battery)<------ common sense. just wait a few mins then connect battery again. turn key to on, wait till fuel pump shuts off start her up, let idle for 5 mins then go for a nice drive.

KAM reset

Are you looking to do a KAM reset on your 2011 2012 2013 2014 Ford Mustang GT? First lets go through and talk a little bit about what KAM is and what and why you would want to reset it.
KAM stands for Keep Alive Memory. It holds various things it has “learned” after your engine has been running for a while. It’s cleared when you load a new tune or you can clear it manually by disconnecting the battery.
If you would like to load a tune please read our article on SCT flash can help with that.
Now if you would like to manually do a KAM reset on your 2011 2012 2013 2014 Ford Mustang GT you can do the following:
1. Disconnect the battery
2. Put the key in and Turn key ON.
3. Now Turn Headlights to the ON position.
4. WIth the Key ON and Headlights on let sit for 15 min.
5. Reconnect the battery.

As long as you chose a CAI that has a factory sized MAF housing, a tune is not required. Keeping the factory sized MAF housing allows the MAF to still be calibrated accurately and adjust for additional air. Plus, all 2011+ Mustang have factory widebands, which also accurately self adjust the fuel trims, even at WOT. If you search for intakes on our AM site, we list each type that is not tune required. Our most popular CAI and my personal favorite, is our Airaid CAI. This CAI does NOT require a custom tune, however with a Bama tune we've seen some of our best performance powerbands.
That being said, you will most certainly see an increase of power with a Bama SF3 tuner. Even though your factory PCM has the ability to adjust itself into a safe operating range, it's still not as efficient as it could be. Our custom Bama tunes will have the parameters already set appropriately, so no adjustment is needed by the PCM. In addition, we're able to run increased sparking advance, which allows for more power/tq and even more increased mpg!

Intake with no tune is just a waste it will not increase performance well maybe 5hp if your lucky. All the good performance mods will require the car to be tuned.
If you change gears = tune
Intake Manifold = tune
Super Charging = tune
Longtube Headers = tune
If you run the car with something that needs a tune you run the risk of breaking something.
