Default Hardwiring radar detector and dashcam

Hey everyone. I recently bought myself a 2014 Mustang GT. I have an Escort 9500ix and currently just plug it into the cigarette lighter. I'm fine with it, but I'd rather hardwire it. I am also planning on buying a dashcam. I want to hardwire both my detector and cam (at least the dashcam). I'm completely new to anything DIY when it comes to cars.

Does anyone have some kind of beginners guide on how to do this? The simpler and cleaner the better. I don't want to take out the dash or anything. I'm thinking either running a line to the passenger fuse box (has anyone done this? What fuse did you use?) or I've seen on other forums that some people tap into the auto dimming mirror.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
