I'm looking at an 05 GT and did some research - the VIN history revealed that it had been in 2 accidents 2 years apart. I got the detailed police accident report descriptions and the VIN history showed that the car had been auctioned at one point with a description of frame damage. The car has apparently never been totaled and the title is clean (not salvage). The car looks real good and the price is right but I'm wary.

Anyone here have experience getting out-of-town inspections? Ford dealer with a body shop expert? How can frame damage be inspected - do they do laser measurements? Would I need 2 separate experts, one for mechanical and one for body/frame? Any idea on what this would reasonably cost?
