Now do shops charge more if they have to take the engine out themselves? I mean I have to take out my engine anyway to replace it...so is it worth getting it painted while the engine is out, then dropping it into it?</P>


I appreciate the help guys, Im hoping Ill have enough.... I mean maybe not show car quality but hopefully enough for factory quality.</P>

 

Your best bet is to just start calling around..... Thats what we all have had to do.... See whats in your area by the yellow pages..... Most places have some sort of an example of what they do, finished cars, pictures etc.... But every place is different, try finding people in your area about it, and see who has used who then youll get a pretty good idea of where to start.... The last paint job I had done on my car was a lil over 3k and that wasnt including motor compartment or door jams.... Came out to be a pretty sh*tty job by one of our so called "most respectable" places.... So Ive started doing it all myself.. You know what they say if you want it done right do it yourself......
