I'll stick with my $170.00 K&NFIPK2. I always go for the name brands.

just buy a k&n air filter and call it a day. unless you want something to look at under the hood, cause that's all it's good for- lookin' at.

well it only costs them about $2.50 to make a cai, so 30$ is all i would pay, 150 is retarded..make ur own for 10 bucks
Mine cost a little more than $2.50 for C&L to make.....again I'll pass on making something out of toilet parts to put on my car in order to save $150. If I had to penny-pinch like that I would not have bought a new Mustang.

A drop-in K&N filter is a good compromise for someone who doesn't want to eliminate their stock airbox. That eliminates the fitment problems that might occur if using some CAI kits found on eBay.

first off I would like to thank you guys for all the replies.

well right now i have a grand total of 10 bucks in my and that was for the k&n charger kit. i have a k&n out of a 98 gmc (a good friend give it to me when he sold the truck) my dad(machinist) made a adapter to bolt it on the mass air. i was mainly wanting to put it in the fender well. i had read that pulling air from the engin bay can cause the mass air to registar wrong. as for what i am gonna do i just wanted some opionions for guys who had experience with them i am wondering about fitment and any issuse with them cracking.
