Default exhaust leak=hurt mpg?

i have an exhaust leak on both headers, i think...stock y pipe on my v6....can this be hurting my mpg ?...its been like 2 weeks since i unhooked them to see if my cats were clogged..but they werent but i dont think they are really tight back on the headers...so i was just wondering..thanks

It could be. Exhaust leaking means your O2 sensors are seeing less exhaust, thus your car thinks its running lean. Therefore it should add more gas to see the right air/fuel ratio.

It would take extreeeeeeemely cold air to hurt the valves. People run with open headers all the time...
