I bought a 96 gt About a week ago mileage read 78k paid 5k for the car. But I decided yesterday to do a carfax report on it just in case something was hidden I might need to know as far as a past accident.
But to my surprise it was reported in 2005 as having 96k miles so now I need to find out if there is a way to determine the actual mileage on it.

 

all you can go by is the last miles logged on the DMV update. not every state makes you log them.

 

Thanks was afraid of that was hoping maybe was stored in ecu but guess the cars to old for that.
