Default fuel pump eccentric & double roller timing set

OK, here is the trouble. Im putting the timming set together but nothing seems to fit right. lol. The cam and the thrust plate seem fine and the sproket fits ok too, but as for the fuel pump eccentric, thats where I am runnin into some problems. To start the dowel pin from the cam doesnt go through the sproket all the way so it doesnt go through my one piece pump eccentric. Next problem is even if it did go through it, the front cover wont fit on over the eccentric. There has to be a solution. Anyone know it?
Maybe this has something to do with the eccentric not fitting. The block is 84-96 but the eccentric is from a 83 motor i had. hmmmmmm

it almost sounds like the sprocket isn't on the cam all the way and thats holding every thing out. [&:] that just sounds wierd.
