broken balancer

broken balancer
changed water pump on '96 Mustang with 3.8, a couple days later the harmonic balancer broke, went to local auto zone for replacement, checked all pullies on accessories for drag and installed new balancer. Couple days later that balancer brakes!!! Has this every happened to anyone else, or does anyone have a suggestion has to what's wrong
