Hey guys I'm pretty new to the forum, and I have an issue that I could really use some help on. The background details: 68 Vinyl Coupe - 351C - C6 (full manual valve body) - B & M MegaShifter. So for as long as I can remember, when cold, the shifter wouldn't ratchet all the way up to 1st, ever. When it warmed up I had 1st again but then everything else on the shifter is off... Have to ratchet once for 2nd and it hits right away, but then have to ratchet a couple more times and go into "neutral" for 3rd, and I lose neutral altogether. But I could put it in park and leave it and nothing.

That was before...

NOOOOOWWWWW...... I tried driving my car to work and when I went to go park in the lot, Park is now N and I had to play around with it for a little while until I could actually be sure Park was engaged. Then I went home and put it in the garage...no more park! AHHHHH!!! what do I do? Any advice? I'm desperate...

 

Did you install the shifter yourself, as it sounds like it's just a cable adjustment. Either at the shifter or tranny. It's been awhile since I've worked on a C6 though.
