Default Explain Rear disc conversion

can someone please explain what i would need to do to convert my 88 with a stock 8.8 4lug w/ drums, to a 5 lug disc?

i know i need the calipers axles rotors, but if anyone could be so kind as to give me a sort of a step by step of what to do? any info will help actually.

do the axles have to come out to remove the inner drum? i would like to just convert to 5 lug drum and after winter get the disc.

yeah the axles have to come out becasue you have to replace the backing plate. i would buy the cobra convertion kit it comes with every thing you need and isn't too expensive.
