What gears?

What gears?
Okee. I have a question. I am slapping in this 351W, mildly built, into my '93 LX. I am going to back it up with a generic AOD auto. I was wondering if I should change the rear gears at all, or leave them stock. The rear is 100% stock. The car, right now, will not see a track. But it may later on down the raod. I just want to be sure I am not going to torture and kill my rear end. I would like descent street behavior, but every now and then, I do like to drive like a bad ***. A mechanictold me go for 4.10s, but wouldn't that be too steep for regular street use? Please help me. I have no idea how to figure this out on my own. Thankies much.

RE: What gears?
well... I talked to a guy at Maximum motorsports and he told me basically that a great all around gear is 3.55 or 3.73...(And only go with ford gears) Now like mustangman said... if its not a daily driver than i guess you could keep going up.... But going that high you will not have much of an overdrive....

RE: What gears?
are you planing on swaping out to a 8.8 or sticking with the 7.5, or running the 7.5 until you can up grade.
i would go with 373's that 351 will have plenty of low end to get it off the line. if you plane on keeping the 7.5 for now and up grading later don't worry about gears now you would just be wasting your money.
