Shifting Problems
Alright I have a long story but I will try to shorten it. I was driving dumb and shifting super fast a couple weeks ago. I missed thrid and hit first hard. I blew my clutch and needed a new one and a new pressure plate. I bought a new pressure plate and clutch disc, throw out, and pilot. I put all this in and also had my flywheel resurfaced. I got her all back together and now it is hard to shift into 5th but it will go in. If I get it into 5th and I go to downshift It is like it is stuck in 5th so I have to pull over stop and jiggle the hell out of it and then jam it into reverse to (what seems like it resets the tranny) get it back into 1st. the weird thing is shifting 1-2-3-4 or 1-Reverse is all fine I mean it is a little tight going into reverse but it has a problem coming out of 5th. What could it be? I put it all together correctly and I used an alignment to to get the clutch disc in there right. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

RE: Shifting Problems
yea thats what I was thinking at first but the clutch is not adjustable, I can buy a adjustable linkage but thats another $100. that I dont have right now. So is there anything else I can do to change it? Thanks

RE: Shifting Problems
Unfortunately understanding you do not have the extra 100.00 right now. The issue is in your adjustment. The factory linkage as you put it is plastic and goes bad. It will NOT allow your clutch to function properly. You really need to try and fine the 100.00 to get the aftermarket quadrant kit because if you continue to drive you will damage your clutch and then your transmission. Obviously costs more than the 100.00

RE: Shifting Problems
well I am going to tear the tranny out and rip it apart one more time and if we see nothing wrong and after I make sure I installed it all right and it still wont work then i will let you know. But how much are you selling them for? just incase I do need one, not sure yet though.
