Default intermittent ignition issue?

2007 GT.

Very very occasionally like 1 out of 50 times I'll run into an issue where after I shut the car off and open the drivers door, I will get the ding ding ding (hey idiot, your headlights are on) sound.

Lights are off completely and haven't been on the entire time driving.

Turning the lights on & off doesn't fix it. Only way to stop it from happening is to cycle the acc on the key then off again.

Is this something I should just ignore or is it possible a sign of something failing?

sound like the key in ignition contact is sticking and falsely indicating to the car that the key is still in the ignition (will ding the same as when the headlights are left on)its located near the ignition lock cylinder, the cylinder will have to be removed to inspect

My 2010 has that issue as well where I'll get the dinging and putting the key in to turn it back a slight bit will do the trick.
